Nestled in the heart of Chelsea, Bluebird stands as a true King’s Road institution and a shining example of Art Deco elegance. Recognised as one of the area’s most iconic destinations, Bluebird offers a contemporary, seasonal menu crafted with care and served across brunch, lunch, and dinner. Guests can enjoy their meals in the renowned restaurant or alfresco on one of London’s most charming terraces.
Our rich history dates back to 1923, when the building first opened as the Bluebird Motor Company’s luxurious showroom. Designed by the visionary architect Robert Sharp, the sprawling 50,000 sq ft space was a symbol of automotive excellence, featuring Europe’s largest garage along with refined lounges and writing rooms for London’s elite. Fast-forward to 1997, when the Conran Group, led by Sir Terence Conran, transformed this remarkable venue into the vibrant ‘Bluebird Gastrodrome’ we cherish today, complete with a restaurant, bar, café, and private dining spaces.
At D&D London, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact through ethical sourcing, minimising food waste, optimising recycling efforts, and conserving energy and water. Our commitment is reflected in our achievement of a three-star Sustainable Restaurant Association rating, ensuring that every meal at Bluebird is thoughtfully prepared with the planet in mind.
