Ingredients in this Fruit Tisane
Hibiscus: There are an estimated three hundred species of hibiscus, a genus of flowering plants belonging to the mallow (Malvaceae) family. When it comes to Herbal or Fruit Tea, we use only one: Hibiscus Sabdariffa. These flowers, when infused in boiling water, create a bold tart flavour similar to the taste of cranberry or pomegranate.
Rosehip: Fruits of the Rosa genus. They are just one component of the Rose plant belonging to the Rosaceae family. This plant is a herbaceous shrub found in both eastern and western hemispheres, although it likely originated from Persia (Iran). Rosehips may not offer the same beauty as the flowers, but certainly provide other qualities much sought after. When brewed, these wonderful gems create an earthy-floral fusion of flavour.
Cloves: Flower buds from the Syzygium aromaticum tree, which belongs to the Myrtaceae family. They provide one of the most potent flavours in the world of spice. Most describe this taste as strong, pungent, sweet and yet also slightly astringent. They offer a warming sensation to the palate, which becomes particularly defined in our Christmas Tea Tisane.

Benefits of Drinking Christmas Tea Tisane
A Scientific study conducted by the American Heart Association (AHA) recognises the ability of hibiscus to lower blood pressure. It saw 65 people aged between 30 and 70, all considered “at risk” from high blood pressure, split into two groups.
The first group drank Hibiscus Tea three times a day. The second group, meanwhile, received a placebo. After six weeks, the results determined that the Hibiscus group “showed an average fall of 7.2 per cent in blood pressure”. It also noted that “some [participants] record[ed] a 13.2 per cent drop”. The placebo group, in comparison, recorded a 1.3 per cent drop.
